Drifters were released hourly in front of the Estes Head Pier on a flood tide. The first drifter released went ashore in front of Englehard. The second drifter eddied around in front of the pier, then moved into Cobscook Bay and ended up between Goose and Spectacle Islands. The third drifter traveled toward Mathews Island and doubled back toward Deep Cove. The fourth and fifth drifters went ashore at the Heritage Salmon wharf.
