Drifters were released in a transect between Deer Island Point and Dog Island on an ebb tide. The two drifters released closest to Deer Island entered Indian River and ended up on the west side of Spruce Island. The other three drifters followed the current out Head Harbor Passage but all ended up to the west of Casco Bay Island.
